Watch Battery Change and Pressure Testing Service

One of the biggest gripes we get in store is the notion of customers having to send their heart rate monitor back to the Aust. Distributors for a battery change. It takes time and $$$ and further some effort to send it. In this modern day quick world, everyone wants an easier solution.

Hence, over the past couple of months at Highly Tuned Athletes we have been busy building a new in-house Watch Repair Facility.We can now say we have proudly commissioned our new $10,000 pressure testing equipment which provides us cutting edge pressure testing. It is a state of the art Swiss made, fully automated electronic dry testing machine, with full data logging and graphical analysis/comparison testing. It also adds vacuum testing for condensation seepage tests due to varying climatic changes.

We are now able to conduct full battery changes and pressure testing up to a 100 metre water resistance rating !

Anyone wanting their battery changed in a Polar, Suunto, Timex, or Garmin watch (non rechargeable versions), we can now do these in Melbourne at $35.00 for a standard type battery change, or $39 for a complex clean/reseal and test. If you mention this blog or our newsletter, we will do any style for an introductory flat price of $29.00.

In most cases, we can also do them whilst you wait ! (i.e. get a coffee down the road at our local) and we will have it ready for you when you get back.

Interstate customers are also welcome to send their units in for testing whereby we will offer quick turnaround (but sorry, no coffee). Soon we will have a checkout procedure available on our website to assist in a fast sending and payment method.

Plus we are now stocking a large range of HRM straps allowing us to test, repair & replace straps and transmitters, giving us a comprehensive facility to get your Heart Rate Monitor back to a working state.

As we develop our facility further, we hope to add more customer features to simplify HRM repairs. These will include, loan units for product trial, extended warranties and special offers to trade-in your old HRM. Stay tuned for more.
