The Polar Loop not only uses personalised data such as your weight, height, age, gender to count calories. It also takes into account the level and intensity of the physical activity you are undertaking.

The Polar Loop uses five intensity levels to track your daily activities being: resting, sitting, low, medium and high. It then classifies your activity into three active zones (low, medium, high) meaning that the higher the intensity, the more calories are burned and the quicker you achieve your activity goals.

Keeping track on how you’re doing against your goals is easy. Simply check your bracelet or the mobile app to see your progress and the Activity Guide will give you tips on how to reach goal by the end of the day. The Activity Guide suggests you various ways to expend calories such as “jog for 20 minutes or walk for 50 minutes” and you can select your preferred activity intensity.

The Polar Loop will also reward you once you have reached your target and will provide you with feedback on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to ensure you stick with your goals and put in the extra work when falling behind. All of this data is accessible from your mobile and from the web platform making it easily to analyse short and long term results.
